Hi thanks for feedback

Out of interest what was the location of
Your hose which had split. I’m struggling to work out where the turbos are and hoses which could be playing a part to check. Watched a few videos on YouTube but no real location or how to get to them as yet so trying to work it out. What I don’t want to do is start taking parts off the car to find I’m not in the right area. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

This is needle in a haystack...

view forum post
Codes do help most of the time. But a code is recorded by a sensor which in-turn has possible other items that could cause the fault. Let's say your issue is your turbo hose, this hose cannot give you a fault code. It will only be discovered checking manually. My split hose was 2 inches long and invisible until I squeezed it.

view forum post
Yeah sorry didn’t think about how difficult it is to read the image. I have typed them in below if it helps.

Apart from engine management light and restricted performance we have had no other visual or worded warnings just the whoosh I talk of that is coming from the vents when pushing down accelerator,
I have old eyes, I struggled to read those error codes in the pic you posted which doesn't help...

Besides the engine management light and the MAF DTC's on the diagnostics, are there any dash warnings like 'Turbo overboost' etc?

view forum post
Thanks for the support. Do you know the easiest way to check turbo hoses. I believe the turbos are situated at rear of engine.

Is it come from underneath taking off under floor or is it from the top engine bay?

It’s the 3L v6 which is believe I forgot to mention in my post. Apologies.

view forum post
Does sound like a boost leak. Classic symptoms.
look for any oily residue around engine bay around the inlet pipework. My leak was invisible until I squeezed the pipe, it gave itself away by the oil mist residue around the area.

view forum post
If the amber light is staying on after a few seconds after start up, there would appear to an error that needs a diagnostic to indicate the problem.

Is it ONLY the sat nav that has no sound? Is the volume turned down to zero? (Worth asking)

Check your turbo hoses for any splits. They might look OK but if you squish them all over you may discover a split

view forum post
My only query is if I leave the car for a week or more, I get the 'Low Battery - Start Engine' come up on the dash. Is this a common thing or should I renew the battery?

I tend to user the car only for longer runs as I understand they don't like being used on short journeys in town as it can clog up...

view forum post
On my fourth battery (three replacements) in my MY23.5. I find they are bloomin' useless, but all mine have been replaced under LR Assist, so it's at their cost, not mine, But still!

My BlackVue dashcam probably doesn't help, but it was a pro install and the settings are set to switch the thing off a the most sensitive of battery levels, so as not to risk anything. Sorry yes you’re correct. I was confusing AD’s with active roll control. Does the later D5’s have ARC? If so my point stands. I had an adaptive dynamics fault on a 322… the fine wires coming off the top of the front struts easily chaf but a bit of insulation tape solved the issue. Common problem I believe.

No pipes on the D5. It's done by electronic adjustment of the shock absorbers - just wires that go to the top of each shock absorber.

When I got my 2018 D5 with it as an option, I was talking to a previous RR owner who said it had been a problem but the D5 is a completely different system and I've never heard of any problem with it (yet).

view forum post
_________________
MY2026 D5 Metropolitan D350 - finally arrived after the cyber attack.

If you do have adaptive dynamics check all the steel pipes underneath serving the corners. They corrode and cost mucho money to sort. Its the main reason i sold my 405 autobiography. Beggars belief that LR would use steel in such an exposed high pressurised environment.

Personally i could not tell the difference with or without.

view forum post
Yes. The biggest is that the engine is a straight 6 mild hybrid from MY21 onwards. It was the same V6 as the D3/D4 in the older ones.
Also "Adaptive Dynamics" became standard from MY21. It was only an option before. It improves the handling a lot.
Watch out though, the low range transfer box became an option on later models - not standard. Also a spare wheel became an option.
The infotainment also changed the the current PiviPro system in MY21.
