I get live traffic updates via the phone with Android Auto and the Google maps satnav...not a lot of use up here on a small rock in the north sea which has less cars than it has cows...

...but useful when I pop over to mainland UK though, it updates in real time and warns me of roadworks, traffic jams and accidents. It even offers alternative routes past accidents or temporary roadworks and the like.

I've never used the on board maps and software on the D5...

Ha Ha never had an IPhone but got a works IPad and i know what you mean, i don't use the Disco that much to warrant paying for the service, most of my miles are in a focus which i always have the radio on for travel info, the Missus now works from home so we need to run her car, we use them weekends about unless we are dragging the caravan about, off to Le Mans in a couple of weeks to watch some cars go round a track so should give it a good run.

Yeah, the ads for a free Spotify account are about annoying as they can get. I bit the bullet and subbed a few years ago which for me using it in the car as much as I do...and the tractor or combine when I was out in the fields and stuff, the monthly sub was well worth it for me in the end.

I did toy with going over to Apple and iPhone so I could just dump my music on iTunes and access it through Apple Car Play...but then I remembered how much I disliked the last iPhone I...

Yes Mole you are right, did try Spotify on the old Disco 4 and did like it but i never paid so the adverts used to naff me off, and always went back to Ipod, May have to embrace the future
