The silver bumper trim on a Discovery 5 (2017–2020) is typically known as White Silver or simply Satin Silver. These ABS plastic trim pieces are often found on SE or HSE models, and sometimes referred to as dynamic look rear bumper diffusers.

Key Details Regarding Bumper Trim Color:
Color Specifics: The OEM silver trim colour is officially described as "White Silver" for the rear lower bumper.

Subject: Grey silver colour of rear bumper
Posted: 17th Apr 2026 10:32 am (GMT 1.00)

I have acquired a scratch on the grey/silver bumper which just needs a bit of filler and a paint touch up.

I cannot find which paint colour it is! It’s not identified in the VIN and I am given to understand that there isn’t a paint code for this just an ethereal JLR name like “ceres grey” or something like that.

Has anyone done a touch up and discovered what the color is?thx

view forum post
