Does it do the same when using the rear cargo area button, as when using the onscreen deployment?

Probably needs diagnostic to see if there are error codes to clear but it sounds like the locking pin behind the ball, is not engaging. That could be dirt, wear ….or voltage.

Have you tried deploying /stowing with engine running? Might give a bit more grunt?

Hi all. As the title suggests - the deployable towbar is not locking. With some persuasion manages to come out of its hiding spot and it 'looks' deployed but certainly not locked, gentle push and it goes down. 
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Trying to action it again and it goes back in (again, with persuasion) and back out again. Same outcome.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Always followed by a beeping sound which goes after a short while. 
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
And crucially that dreaded warning in the infotainment saying...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://disco5.co.uk/forum/post42777.html?#42777&quot;&gt;view forum post&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
