  Just an update on my situation…
  
  Land Rover head office havw approved a 100% contribution to get the cars engine replaced.
  
  I dont know yet how this leaves me with warranty etc just ...

  My 2017 SD4 recently went bang on the way home from a family holiday.
  
  Piston rings failed on #2 & #4 on an engine that has only covered 25k miles ...

• You can get a warranty through LR that will be a lot better. They just have to asses the car beforehand.

  The issue has been highlighted to LR head office in the hope of a contribution/full coverage of the bill and or advice on how to proceed.
  
  Turns out the #2 & #4 piston rings have fail ...
