Well, I cycled in to the dealer (no courtesy cars available) to pick up mine with new engine in. All done under "goodwill" ie JLR repaying the dealer. So far so good but only done about 20 ...

I stupidly turned down the extended warranty because I thought £1k pa was extortionate. Now I know why it was so high... should have figured the logic... it's high because it would be needed...
