    Update !
After trying trying and trying I locked the car and left it for 10 mins got back in it and the message still came up and wouldn’t start but then gave me another message to “rotate steering wheel”
Which I had already tried earlier when there was no message !!
It then started 🤨 so I have now put the battery on charge and according to the CTEK it is a bit under charged !
So will see if that makes any difference once it’s had a good charge 🙄

That's odd, why would the car ask you to rotate the steering wheel before allowing a start?

I don't suppose the steering is not hydraulic but electric and thus if the CPU can't determine the position of the wheels in relation to the steering wheel, safety protocols would dictate a re-calibration before allowing the car to be driven.

I'm thinking that maybe there was to much tension on the steering lock so it could not release ,
So by rotating the wheel it eased the tension allowing it to release
Hoping it's just a glitch caused by a low battery Sad

Steering column locked - which is why you need to rotate the wheel to get it unlocked? Would make more sense to me.

Yes but I had been trying that for 20 mins or more and made no difference and didn't do until the car told me to rotate it 🙄

It's a computer, if it plays up reboot first. If the symptoms continue then it is an issue. Thumbs Up

Regarding the steering - I thought the steering is still rack and pinion but the power steering is electric instead of hydraulic.

I've had this once - it was steering wheel lock. It took some effort to get it off too, but car started fine once it had released.
