(I'll use this double post for something more useful;) )
... Disco is at dealer now for A/C, Start-Stop (stopped working a few weeks ago, didn't notice it at first) and first service (roughly 19k km in)
Got a theft alert from InControl because they detached the battery in the car. Am I supposed to put the car in another mode when I give it to the dealer?

Yes - open up InControl, swipe sideways to the Settings screen, then Service mode is about four boxes down. This stops the dealer triggering an alarm when they do anything...
