Stuck between a rock and a hard place...

So new D5 set to arrive late next week. The D4 is going part ex.
I'm worried the garage is going to screw me over on the part ex.
In preparation for this I did a WBAC valuation...
It said they would give me 9K for my 16MY 45K fully spec'd D4 commercial. I was slightly agast to say the least.
Does anyone have any tips on how to negotiate next week. The dealer has the upper hand as I ordered this car last year and they have already a sizeable deposit.
    Help!

Look on the Land Rover site at similar cars and that will tell you what it will resell for, then take £ x,000 off for their margin.

What would the margin be? No idea really, £7k maybe?

Perhaps WBAC have a particular dislike of handling commercials (they mainly sell on the cars they buy through car supermarkets catering for credit taking consumers).

Try https://www.landrover.co.uk/offers-and-fin...index.html and see if you prefer this answer.

    Oh wow that's fab.
    It's worth approx 30K.
But I wonder is that 30K inc VAT or 30K plus VAT?
Arghhhh so complex for my pea brain.

I would guess that it would assume VAT was paid on the car when it was new as it is a consumer site?

So would be £30k inc. Vat? Hard to tell!! Thumbs Up

Would you not be able to sell it privately via autotrader? And rent something if the car goes quicker than the new one arrives?

Or even push it through an auction yourself? We did this with our Passat before heading off down under.
