Safety Features
So far I've tested two
Emergency Brake Assist - at a junction pulling forward when the car in front decided he/she wasn't going to go. I didn't feel at risk (although it would have meant a 'slam' of the brakes), but the car beat me to it and the brake pedal hit the floor as there was no back pressure.
Tiredness alarm - came up this morning on my commute, with a coffee cup symbol and a 'Take a Break' message. At least I presume it was the tiredness alarm - I was just coming up to a Costa, so it may be that LR are selling Sat Nav data!
On reflection I couldn't remember much of the previous few miles (very much on auto-pilot) so I stopped off and got a drink.
Very much impressed by both features, but especially the tiredness alarm as I'd always thought that it was a bit of a gimmick.

It has beeped at me a few times, usually with me retorting, "I know, I know, jeez...". Kinda like driving with my Mom, but at least it stops beeping when the "danger" has passed.

I have tried to get the sleepy thing to Alarm by pretending to fall asleep, alas it didnt work.
I think it was down to the fact that my good lady was sat next to me and kept saying 'is it working' is it working' is it working' 'is it working'
I nearly put her to sleep.

In my Touareg if i drove properly it wouldnt come on when i drove my usual 125 mile one way weekly run.
If i drove hard and changed lane without indicating and sped up and slowed down, swerved a bit,,
It came on fairly sharpish.
I can see mine coming on fairly often in the D5, My wife hardly ever sleeps in the car, this past week every time we go anywhere she needs waking up every time. it just bobbles along, rocking her to sleep,
I'm gonna need to bob the Jetboil in the back, i'm not spending my hard earned on Coffee and Two Almond croissants every time i go to Costa...
