    Suspension setup 2ltr v 3ltr

I’ve just picked up a new 2ltr courtesy D5, while my new 3ltr is in for some work.
I'd not driven a 2ltr before. But it is a totally different car to drive. No obvious noticeable difference in the performance, although the engine revs much noiser. But it’s the suspension that is totally different, it is much firmer. It corners flat compared to the 3ltr, which wallows and leans horribly in the corners. The only other difference is that the 2ltr has 19” wheels v 20” on my 3ltr.
Anyone else noticed this difference in suspension setup or know if the suspension is officially different between engines?
I’d love my 3ltr to have this setup.

More rubber and air does make a difference.

Ok not awake yet, just re-read that. The 2L 19" wheels feels firmer. No idea then.

Adaptive dynamics on a Discovery 5? I’ve just read thru the latest brochure and don’t see it mentioned as an option?

So I see! Painful. I’ve only had mine 2 weeks and they announce a better engine and AD! I think AD will make the car fantastic. Enjoy.

UK HSE 2.0 has 20" and air as standard ...don't forget that it is 125kg lighter at the front than the 3.0 Smile

But they've managed to squeeze 306 shetland ponies under the bonnet of the new 3.0L.

With the 2.0L you only save the weight of one shetland pony but lose the power of 66 of them. Laughing

But in relation to the OP's question on handling ...125kgs would make an element of difference

Would be nice to have 306 mind Very Happy

Does S on the gearbox alter anything other than gearbox? Like suspension. I can't feel any difference.

Just holds the revs higher as far as I recall. Doesn't interfere with the suspension unlike some cars where when engaged will stiffen the suspension.

They also managed to squeeze 300 ponies {I think these are Dartmoor) under the bonnet of the 2.0L petrol Mr. Green

Indeed, but they didn't have enough room left to put all of the torques in alongside. Dartmoor ponies are obviously too fat. Laughing
