Mirror Power Fold - Turn off?
Is there a way to stop the mirrors folding when you lock the car?
If I fit my towing Mirrors then the brackets will catch on the bodywork when the mirrors fold which is far from ideal and I can't be relied upon to remember to remove them when I lock the car!
My previous car had an option to disable the fold which would be highly useful (E-class Merc).

Hi
My understanding is that this is possible, but something the dealer has to do. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone else will correct me.

That sounds like a pain, I'll see if I can find a way to fit them so that they don't catch.

If it helps, I think you can manually fold them in by pressing both left and right mirror selector buttons at the same time. Then they stay in until you press both again - even if you lock and unlock car.
This may help position the mirror extensions whilst they are folded in. Just a thought.

I had that problem too. Now I clamp the tow mirrors to the top of the mieor body but inverted. Now the powerfold works fine with the mirrors in situ and fold the tow mirrors in too without the clamps colliding with the bodywork.
