    HSE locked in

    First post on here but I have been lurking for a while.

    My order for a 2.0 HSE has been locked in today. It's due for build on the 10/02 and delivery to me mid-March.

    Specification is as follows:

    2.0 HSE
    Corris Grey
    Black pack with 20" wheels
    Privacy glass
    Ebony interior
    Linear Aluminium finisher
    Carpet mats

    It's my first Discovery and I'm looking forward to having the space to fit in all the stuff that comes with a baby and a toddler!

    I had a deposit down since last summer. The firm order went in at the beginning of October. I'm with Guy Salmon, Bristol.

    Before my spec was locked in, I was considering downgrading to a SE but was told that one of those wouldn't come through til April (and I'd be stung for the new VED luxury car tax). So it seems like HSE's and above are being prioritised.

    I get the feeling that they've been told by JLR not to handover until a certain date in order to give first edition buyers a small period of exclusivity.

    Just had confirmation that my car has been built and is on the way to my dealer. Delivery should now be start of March, so ahead of schedule.

    I know the tyres are Pirellis but I don't know the size yet sorry. I haven't actuallly seen the car myself yet as I've been too busy to stop by the dealers!

    Picked it up finally today. Only drove it 10 miles so far but have a big trip planned for the weekend! Very pleased with it so far.
