D5 First Edition
As per my order, it states that the build commences on the 13/1/17 which was on Friday.
Plus been informed by my dealer that the 5 year servicing package is £699. Works out at just under £140 quid a year. Excellent value in my opinion, provided I keep it that long

Hi Road Runner
Is the five year sevice plan a Landrover thing or something you're dealer does ?
I want that, but as of yet, my dealer hints Landrover will be doing one but hasn't officially confirmed.

What was your quoted delivery date?
Mine states:
Build Date 27-1-17
Delivery Date 17-3-17
Planned Handover 22-3-17

Hi Mac lol
Have you got the First Edition ordered or is it hse lux / hse?? 😀
Build date 13/1/17
Delivery date 3/3/17
Accepted handover 8/3/17
Planned handover 8/3/17
The dealer has assured me that car will be with them by the end of February. They are just being cautious with the extension to the dates incase of any unforseen problems.
As am getting extras fitted like the tow bar roof rails and mudflaps, which don't come factory fitted, my local dealer is doing that also, so the car will be fully ready for pick up on March 1st
Not sure if it's helped me having put my deposit down last March has helped me.??

Hi Road Runner
I've ordered First Edition in farallon black. Put deposit down a long time ago so I got first on the list at dealer. I thought the time between build and deliver seemed quite long so was interested in what you got quoted.

D5 First Edition
I put my deposit down on March 3rd last year. Not sure if it's different in Scotland compared too England, like a staggered release??? I know we got too see the D5 up here in November last year and down south was later on.

It was towards end of November I think when I got to see it. My guess is they have built some contingency into the delivery dates and there is reasonable chance first editions will be delivered early March??

I saw it on 24 Nov in Perth and a week later In Aberdeen. Yes I think they have given a bit of leeway just too cover themselves, but am pretty sure we will see the cars earlier than we have been quoted. As far as am aware all the First Editions are March release as have been given priority and the lower specs are in April. Time will tell, but I have been assured they getting my car 3 rd week in February, plus I want all the extras I have paid for fitted by them and they have assured me that is definately the case. I dont want 300 mile round trip just too get my extras fitted. I have ordered the Farallon Black also

End of Feb sounds probable as dealers are getting their cars in Feb and First Editions should be very soon after. Fingers crossed. I've got various accessories too including mud flaps and side steps. Will keep you posted if I hear anymore. Cheers

Hi Peter, as far as am aware it's a dealer specific at the moment. Currently have the same on my D4 which cost me £499/£599. I cant remember exactly but been well worth it. Compared too my Subaru it's half the price almost. However as far as I am aware Landrover will be offering it soon my dealer said. Possibly again maybe a Scottish thing with cars coming out here a few weeks earlier than south of the border. However it can be taken out anytime within first 12 months my dealer has said. Doesnt have too be purchased at the time of the vehicle. I hope this helps

Ps not sure if you picked this up, but Land Rover website in December stated First Edition came with Television, having checked with dealer it actually doesn't. Disappointing for us because we use it a lot on D4.

Welcome to the forum
I've got the service pack with my current D4 which was £699 also taken it for the D5, worth it's weight in gold.
Currently got a build date of 10/3/17. I'm getting a bit frustrated though as my one will be here in 2 months or so and I've yet to drive it, I'm already wavering so it all depends on the test drive.
