    Campaign - malfunction mis-dosing warning - def

Called dealer to book car in for second year service. Have been advised they need it for longer than usual to carry out a software update to rectify a fault with the adblue / def system. Apparently it can wrongly warn of incorrect def being added. Not had the issue myself, but then I'm still on the original def from when car was collected new.
Thought it worth a mention in case anyone having the issue.
    Mine is MY19 3L SDV6.

This is actually something they've had since it was brand new in 2017 - mine had that issue with just 800 miles on the clock. Should have been caught in PDI unless this is a different problem that presents the same way.

I can't say if this is a new update, or part of the old issue you mention. All I know is that I've been told mine will need updating - something I'm slightly concerned about, as it has been faultless across the last 2 years, and I don't want to come away with an issue after software update, as we occasionally see. Will quiz the dealer before I let them loose on it.

Interesting this module can't be updated via the SOTA they recently enabled. Perhaps because if something goes wrong and it bricks that module, you can't start the car due to emissions regulations.
