    New Defender leaked.

Well if this is genuine, it looks like a D3, as someone else mentioned on the forum recently. Doesnt look half bad tbh, but probably alot better in the flesh.

Starts at £45k (steel wheels) and goes up from there. A lot. 3.0 petrol X is near £80k and with all the options (tho it comes with a lot on) and accessories you can crack £100k

having just priced up both my own D5 HSE with the fitted extras and the closest Defender I can get (ok D5 is SD6 and Defender is Petrol 6).

The Discovery has a list of £73,600
The Defender has a list of £82,000

We can't get the D90 at launch in the US.

No 18" white steelies on the P400 engine.

No inline 6 turbodiesel at launch.

But damn, this is a fine looking vehicle - might be my next Land Rover:

I don't know, my last SOTA update proceeded seamlessly without interrupting my Android Auto music streaming and navigation and occurred while driving after I accepted it.

Not sure what the dual SIM capability achieves, other than constant streaming of my vehicle's telemetry data back to Land Rover, or maybe to enable future V2X connectivity on a separate data connection that could be billed as a separate subscription service.

So maybe this is what the Discovery SVX was shelved? Because a Defender SVX would sell more units?

I'd rather see a hearty forced-induction diesel with an electric super/turbocharger pumping out locomotives of torque rather than a fire-breathing gas engine in an off-roader like the Defender. It's not a Raptor and shouldn't try to be....

Instant SatNav... no where would the fun in that be?

“Pivi Pro is equipped with its own battery, so the system is always on and able to respond immediately on startup. As a result, the navigation is ready to accept new destinations the moment the driver sits in the vehicle2. The system allows customers to access to the latest software updates remotely – including navigation mapping data – without the need to visit retailers for updates to be installed.”
