    Gear Selector Failure

    At the weekend parked up the car at a shop and when I came back and turned the engine on the gear selector wasn't lighting up and I couldn't put it into any gears (stick would physically move though).

    After leaving the care locked for ~15mins and then trying again the gear selector did light up and was working but after a minute I heard a "bong" and it went off with no warning. Then couldn't change gear out of the one I was in.

    Called out LR Assist but couldn't do more than get it the dealership and waiting to hear what they find.

    Anyone else had this problem? This is a D300 MY22.

    Heard back from the dealership and the gear selector module had a failure and was replaced. Not great for a 1.5yr old car but they said they hadn't come across this before so hoping its just bad luck/one off.

    I’d heard of it before, but not on a vehicle quite so young.
