Winter Tyres
Hi All,
I noticed that Pirelli now do a 3 peak mountain snowflake tire, which I'm lead to believe you need for driving in the alps without snow chains as the standard M+S (Mud and snow) isn't good enough.

It's a price tire at £385, has anyone purchased these and can comment, or suggest an alternative please?

I now have Michelin X-Ice SUV on mine (275/55-20) and they're pretty good in everything from cold packed snow to slush.
I'd still say Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV are the gold standard for non-studded snows. Never had better winter tires than those....
