Need new engine, dreaded 2l cylinder issue. Is 3l better?
So my 2018 Discovery needs a new engine due to the well known cylinder issue. It's the 2 litre engine. Question is once repaired do I sell it and get a 3 litre, are those engines any better and more reliable. Worried now once repaired under warranty it will happen again in a few years.

The V6 engines still get snapped cranks. Although the D5 seems to be less affected than the D3/4 was and the newer SD6 D5s seem to be the least affected.
So far, the new D300 seems to have very few reported problems and looks to be a very good choice.
MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price!
