    Parking sensor can’t be enabled and no errors

    Hi,

    I’m unable to start the parking sensors in my discovery (2018). There is a known issue with one of the front sensors that i need to take a look at but I can’t imagine that is preventing the whole parking sensor system from working.

    When I put the car in reverse, there’s a red line through the icon and a cross through the speaker icon. Tapping on the icon on the lower bar makes it blink orange a couple of times but then it stops and nothing has changed and no errors.





    Any ideas what I can do to diagnose the issue?

    I noticed that when I put the car in reverse after starting the car, it will beep continuously for about 3 seconds, and then stop. That same issue won't occur again until a fresh start of the car.

    I read elsewhere that if one of the sensors is not working the whole system stops working, so I'm going to fix/replace the broken sensor and try again.

    Confirmed! After replacing single faulty sensor the whole system now works again.
