Screen goes blank when reversing
Very occasionally, when putting the D5 into reverse, the touch screen goes blank instead of turning on the reverse camera view. One for the dealer I suspect.

Yes mine has also done that on a couple of occasions, it is back in the dealers having a towbar fitted and they have promised to check if any faults exist and if updates are available

Mine had this, they said it was a faulty latch sensor on the boot. Hasn't done it since anyway according to her indoors.
When I'm not in the operating theatre, I'm mountain biking, spending time with my family, running and socialising. I have a Discovery 5 HSE Lux with pretty much every option ticked. This is my first ever Land Rover. Been a rocky road with regards to reliability but we're getting there.

I've also noticed that if you start the car and immediately put it into reverse you sometimes get the camera to display without any of the usual overlays (the yellow predicted path lines, detected obstacles and suchlike).
I assume the computer hasn't had time to fully wake up in these cases.

I've got the same issue did you get it fixed? It also went blank at the weekend when I was trying to turn RSE on.

I took my HSE in Friday for a few issues including the screen blanking out.
After 3 days and not being able to find the fault ( there were some errors stored ).They have just been going backwards and forwards to LR basically trying different things.
I have told them to stop and I am picking the car back up tomorrow afternoon. My worry is that by all this checking connectors and modules the car will have even bigger problems.
My plan is to let it became a hard fault or wait until LR have a solution that based on knowledge rather than trial and error.
Fingers crossed that it will be OK and not worse now than before!!

It's not happened for a while so i'll live with it until I have a bunch of stuff to be fixed or the first service is due. TBH, there is nothing bad enough yet to warrant a trip to the stealer.

Good idea, it is not a big problem and it easier to live with it rather than have the car ripped apart!!
I notice that you have HUD as well, I wonder if that is a clue?

My D4 always does this when doing a 3+ point turn, on the 3rd or 4th time going into reverse the screen goes black and the only way to get the camera back is switch the car off and on again. I've taken it to the dealer but they didn't manage to fix it.
