Spotted Indus Silver in car park on Tyneside yesterday. Looked good. Worryingly SWMBO said"that looks nice". It did. Gradually coming round to the appearance. We both thought the silver rear tray looked better with the silver car than on the darker colours. Rear end was not as disproportionate to the rest of the car.

If you get the "black pack" the rear tray is a dark grey, not so bright.

Thanks Peter. Someone posted getting the trays painted black which also helped. I am a fan of silver Discos and am considering changing to a D5 sometime. Just waiting for the right time.

I have had my D5 for 5 months now and occasionally still think the back is all wrong, BUT you do get used to it .
Every time I get in the drivers seat I am reminded why I bought it and really look forward to driving it.
It is brilliant!!

First car was a 1961 VW Beetle. People criticised it's shape and engine noise. I told them that you don't see the shape when inside and leave the noise behind.

Looks best from side. Only seen four on Tyneside since release. White, grey, Loire Blue and Indus. SWMBO gets a crick in her neck swivelling round to check rear. Usually a DS that has passed.

Followed a black one yesterday for a short distance. The number plate looked better than I've seen. Just two digits and two letters with the plate cut down to suit. It meant it was positioned nearer the centre. Nice. The undertray was also black and in my opinion improved the rear end. Still looked big though.
