20" Rims for D5
My D5 came with 21" Rims, very nice, but there are virtually no All Terrain or off road tires available in that size. However there are an interesting selection of 20" tires available. I want to buy 20" rims that will fit the D5. The following is a table that is I believe correctly reflects the Land Rover stock rim sizes. Please let me know if this table is incorrect.
Tire Rim PCD
255/55R20 110V 8.5Jx20 ET39 5x120
255/55R20 110V 8.5Jx20 ET47 5x120
275/45ZR21 110W 9.5Jx21 ET49 5x120
285/40ZR22 110Y 9.5Jx22 ET45 5x120
I am not knowledgeable about knowing what offset is required for what tire/rim. I see that two 8.5 x 20 wheels are offered with two different offsets, one 39 the other 47. Would a 20" x 9.5" rim with 45 offset work? If not, is there an offset that would work with 9.5" wide rims or do I have to go with 8.5" rim?
thanks

Pcheaven, thanks for the information, I reviewed it but am still not sure if a 45mm offset on a 9.5" 20" rim would fit. Concerned that the combination of the 9.5" wide rim and the 45mm offset would not fit. Hoping for a informed confirmation prior to buying.
thanks

Does putting the info into this weblink help;
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
I know it’s basically a link through to the website already mention in the above mentioned thread but put the details in and you can compare the changes.

Going back to 'Jeb3s' start point -
I am in the same position.
Currently running the 21 inch wheels the car came with - no real issues.
However once I need new tyres I want to go with an all terrain pattern.
I intend to go with General Grabber AT3's. (have had the AT & AT2 before and been very pleased)
So will swap to 20 inch rims.
Will go with the 255 55 R20 - which I believe is a Ranger Rover size.
I keep my eyes open on the Full Fat forum as take off sets come up on there from time to time.
