@33Lurcher - I folded it down so the girls in the back could forward a better and it was less claustrophobic for them. On the return journey I folder the entire centre section down and it was even better. The 4 of them could talk to each other a lot easier, and I could see them better. Very Happy

Does that mean it finally has 40/20/40 folding seats?

Didn’t it always? Wink I’ve done it before when I’ve been shoving in a 2.4m plank of wood.

It's a main 60:40 split, but if you press the button on the top of the middle section the 60 can also split down:

Can you now take out the second row middle seat headrest?

You could not, unless you took apart the seat and disconnected an electrical cable (which no one ever could explain me what it did as nothing changed for the rest) in my18 lux?

In my current vehicle (Landcruiser,, because Tanzania is very unfortunate Toyota country number 1) I switch the side ones to look backwards, so they don’t push to the child seats and the middle one is out for better visibility.

Does the new D5 comes (maybe optional) with the video mirror as in the Defender? Wondering how good/bad this is.

I believe it is an option now. It was fitted on a Disco Sport loaner I had when my eDiff was replaced.

On how good or bad it is, it would depend on how quick your eyes can adjust focus between looking ahead vs looking at an LED screen quite close to your face. I like the idea of it but feel it needs an optical trick to stop your eyes having to re-focus all the time. This is probably more of an issue for those that need reading glasses, which includes me.

In the D5 I've given up looking in the rear view mirror, the view is bad enough before putting a dog guard in the back and adding a few retrievers. I just pretend I drive a van without rear windows.

It wasn’t an option when I ordered mine in Feb. The loaner Defender I had had one and was great - rear visibility is pretty poor with the rear mounted spare. Didn’t take too long to adjust to it.

2018 Discovery Td6 SE Corris Grey

I wear variofocal glasses and clear view doesn't work for me as the top portion of my lenses are for distance, not focusing at about 2feet away, I raised this with design team when drove an early Evoque with it fitted, they seemed surprised but I notice that there is now a comment in the manuals that it may not be suitable for everyone who wears glasses.
