    Landrover 5 year service plan

I have the Landrover Five yearservice plan.
Is the service completely “free” or do you have to for parts?

PeterW, the parts required for the service are completely free - but that will only include regular service parts - oil, filters and air and pollen filters as dictated by the service schedule. Wear and tear eg brakes are not covered.

And because of the 50000 mile limit, you only get 3 annual services from your 5 year plan if you drive 16000 miles per year. Evil or Very Mad

I don't understand why the limit is 50000 miles for a vehicle with a 16000 miles or 1 year service interval.

The only paperwork I had was listed on the order sheet of the car, including the price for the 5 year service. That should be sufficient enough as its like a receipt. Thumbs Up (It's right at the bottom).

I’ve just got a letter this morning which gives you a membership number and details of the servicing tasks at each year on the reverse Thumbs Up

Do you not get a plastic credit card with all the details on it?

    Fits nicely in your wallet.

Yes it would have been really handy.

I had Trackers on my last 3 cars, and the details were all on a plastic credit card, with the relevant phone numbers and account details, which was really useful, and were always at hand.

I suppose due too the environmental issues with saving paper and plastics etc, everything is going paperless now, but in the case of an emergency not everyone may have access too the relevant info at that moment in time. Rolling Eyes

I usually take a photo on my phone of any details nowadays, if I don't get issued with a card, so I always have it on my person, if need be.

I’ve had a plastic card for every service plan I’ve taken out. Though never been asked to show it.

Didn’t bother with the Velar as it’s every 2 years, so by the time it needs a service it will be time to move on.

I spend most of the time in the car on my own, perfect size for me really and the dog fits in the boot. Pretty pleased with it so far, part of me misses the D5 but really enjoying the drive of the Velar and the 2.0 240 ain’t half bad.
