I believe the external measurements are within an inch or so.

Both are the same width but the D5 is a bit longer, 120mm or so.

Great feedback, thanks.
Does anyone know if the front seating position is the same for the RRS and the D5? I ask because the RRS is advertised as a "command view". We won't get D5 here in America till May so I don't know if it keeps the same command view as the RRS.

I would say the D5 has a "higher" seat position, when I test drove a RRS a year back it seemed lower than my D4.
I think Scrumps has both so maybe he will be along soon ..
The RRS2 is 2" lower than the FFRR

Page 41 of the brochure seems to suggest that it does still have a Command Driving Position which may afford a command view...

Sizes (LxWxH) in mm:
D5: 4970 x 2220 x 1888 (mirrors out, top of antenna)
RRS: 4850 x 2220 x 1801
In American ( ) that means the D5 is 4.7" longer, the same width and 3.4" taller than the RRS
