I have a manual towbar and in the middle of my bumper is a plastic cover which comes off quite regularly, which annoys me. Even more because I don’t see a function for this hole in the bumper, and thus the plastic cover. Anybody having the same issue and any ideas why the hole should be there in the first place?
The removable cover is to allow for a screw in recovery eye, only required on cars with deployable tow bar. All others already have a suitable eye on rear cross member.
Thx Trevor’s, so for my car it’s a useless hole, think I will ask dealer to put a full cover... but most probably they will just glue the piece or in best case order a new one

I use this eye to to secure the trailer with a cable lock when leaving it unattended.

I have a manual towbar and that piece of plastic keeps falling out and I regularly have to push it back in after a journey
