    Adaptive Dynamics

    Hi Guys,
I can't seem to find much on the forum or anywhere else about LR adaptive dynamics.
I'm trying to decide whether to order them or not - my order is just two weeks old, so I'm guessing its not too late.

There's a short promotion video on youtube and theres a few mentions of it on this forum, one very positive and one not so much.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Adaptive Dynamics

I've looked at the RRS group as suggested, thanks for the link and your suggestions.

Seems like the jury's still out on Adaptive Dynamics.
    some guys say its fantastic
some guys say they can't tell the difference with and without AD

    Bow down

I have it on my other cars and although I always keep it in the same setting (a custom one) I would have bought it for the D5 if it was available and 800 pounds doesn’t seem exaggerated.

You are welcome ! But I suppose you know as well that JLR uses software that calculates how much people think some things cost to change the price accordingly Wink
No joke, I really like that option, it gives a different feeling to the car and to it feels even more balanced.

To me it feels more balanced (I should stop to use the automatic correction on the phone...)

    Hi all,
CAN the Adaptive Dynamics be turned on/off or is it permanent.

Not very clear if it is a mode selected with the all terrain response system or another button.
Have checked the user manual MY19 online but nothing is mentioned or haven’t found.

From what I've gleaned from this forum and other places it seems it's got its own switch

With my other cars (non JLR) it’s not really on or off, it has different settings, where one is the ‘normal’ setting, but even than it’s working and not ‘off’. It really is a different setup with different suspension dampers vs cars which have not this feature. I suppose this is the same with the D5, but to be sure, ask your dealer Wink

Had Dynamics on a RRS and it was very good a tightening up responses - reduced roll more direct steering, not so comfortable on rough roads, but if you want to press on a bit then switch it on and then off for a more relaxed drive later.
Wasn't an option when I spec'd my car, but would have had it along with the Twin T 300hp engine which I also had in the RRS.
    Oh well next time.....
