Thanks for that. I'll maybe just pair it with the phone and be done with this nonsense sim.

Does that mean that if I pair my phone to the car I don't have to get a separate Data Card for the Sat Nav to get Traffic Updates ?

I bought a Three Mobile Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband 24GB Data SIM [via Amazon]
Data lasts up to 24 months

It definitely needed to be activated - had to stick it in a phone to do it but since then it's been fine

Thank you. I've registered now on the O2 site, so hopefully it will work tomorrow.
    Many thanks

Yes, you can connect to your phone's hotspot and it uses that instead. Most people have way more data than they need on their phone bundles anyway.
Not sure if you have to reconnect each time you get in, I suspect so, but it does work that way yes.

Three are now offering a free 200Mb per month data SIM:

    https://www.three.co.uk/Free_SIM_MBB/Order

You just need to ensure that you go into the Connectivity options settings on the car and set a 200MB data limit per month.

handy if you just want minimum traffic updates
