Discovery in the river
Here's a short video of a factory D5 driving through a river at Solihull this week.
(NO LEAKS)
Cheers

I remember my first time doing that (in an X-trail), it felt like water was lapping at the windows but when checking after we got out it only just got the door sills wet

We were in about 800mm deep.
Off road height so it was well over the bottom of the doors.
As you say it deed feel deeper though

Back in the eighties our local river keeper used to have a Lada Niva and he was often seen driving up the river clearing weed.
I think one of those in those days cost the princely sum of around £3.5k

Probably not because as I remember the seats in those vehicles were like Deck chairs, metal frame with cloth stretched over it.

I doubt they would have a massage function then?

They didn't have an easy entry boot either. Only the top half opened and the dogs had to be lifted in because the bottom half came up to your waist.
The boot was like an enormous bucket !!

Incredible. Would love to see more footage of the D5 in deep water... ideally some high res stuff from Land Rover, if it exists.
So pleased you had an ace day out. Was this a half or full day?
