    Lock car without Alarm or movement sensors on

    Hi All,

    Is there a way that I can lock my Disco 5 without having the alarm's internal movement sensors working, or with the car's alarm actually turned off ?

    I ask as I was alerted yesterday that my car alarm was going off (Land Rover response) only moments after popping into Tesco to get a bottle of milk - our dogs had decided to roll over in their sleep on the back seat and set the movement sensors off....

    Ah Ha. Thanks

    I'd thought that I needed to click the lock button (on the fob) twice to disarm the interior alarm, but it seems (after reading the manual Rolling Eyes ) that I'd actually done the opposite.

    Daft that you've got to click twice if you want the full alarm service, and only once for the limited set up (doors/boot/bonnet opening).

    Seems I've not been setting it properly (as always only clicked once) and now have to get into the regular habit of double clicking and just use the single click when dogs, children, adults or penguins are left in the car.

    There is also an option on the vehicle set-up menu (using the steering wheel button) that allows you to fully deadlock the vehicle (double press) with the interior motion detection off.

    This option only works on the next locking and then resets to default, so you need to set it every time that you want to use it.
