    Factory Tour

    I posted this to Amellia, Customer Relations, on the Disco5 Forum the other day. No reply thus far but can anybody here point me in the right direction?

    Hello Amellia,

    I have ordered a new Discovery HSE SDV6 and would like information on how to organise a factory visit, possibly to see it being built. My dealer is quite certain that the car will be built in Solihull, not Nitra.

    I have read the information on the JLR website for factory tours but it does not appear to be specific for seeing your car being built or indeed for the Discovery. Can you please advise how I can book such a tour please?

    Adam replied very quickly and told me that production of ALL Discovery models has now moved to Slovakia, so that answers that question Exclamation

    He is however happy to organise a Solihull factory tour and I'm waiting to hear from him regarding details.

    Should be interesting but a bit disappointing regarding change of production to Slovakia.

    Absolute shame not seeing your actual car, I only went a month or so ago and the Disco was in full production there. It is very much worth the trip all the same. Good luck with it all. 👍

    Hi. Yes I went mid January to see my car being made.
    Factory for is great too, also the off road course.
    Surprised production has switched so quickly, I was told it was being phased over several months starting in February.
    2019 D5 Lux. HUD, adaptive dynamics, dynamic pack 2, cooler box, privacy glass, advanced tow assist, black roof rails, massage seats, tech plus pack, detachable towbar, driver assist pack, capability plus pack.

    Re move to Slovakia, I read that too but the news today is ' from the horses mouth', Shocked

    The order system at the dealer is showing an ETA 19th April (Good Friday Confused ).

    However, I don't mind waiting even if the delivery does slip. It will be that much 'younger' when it finally arrives Laughing

    So can Adam organise a tour through the Slovakian factory??
