    2018 Discovery Sd4 (240) HSE Corris Grey

    Adblue mileage on 2ltr

    Guys. I have done 4000 from new and have the Adblu top up warning come on saying 12 litres needed in 1450 miles time. That’s very low mileage to my mind. My old D4 would go 16000 miles (so to its service intervals) and just get topped up then.

    What’s anyone else getting

    Are you sure the dealer topped it up to full before hand over?

    I agree. Some dealers do not top def tank completely for handover. Might be best to top up yourself and then monitor. Land rover suggest use of 1ltr per 500 miles is not unusual.

    Didnt know any D4 had adblue?
    2023 D300 Metropolitan, Hakuba Silver, Low Range, Solar screen, Deployable towbar, FBH, sidesteps.

    Yes. I had a 2016 Landmark with adblue. Filler was next to fuel cap, as opposed to in engine bay on D5.

    How odd they went to the trouble of developing it for 1 year of production, then changed the engine for D5 production

    I put in 10 ltrs at about 4k miles ...didn't think much of it tbh £10 from Halfrauds Smile

    Its not an issue of cost, just was surprised at the warning to top up so soon, and never even considered that it may not have been full to start with.


    Will top us and see how far I get from there

    I bought used and dealer didnt top up DEF, they viewed it much like fuel...theres enough to get u home

    last delivery actually arrived twice so 1/2 price Cool
