    Rear Bumper Appearance

Do the rear bumpers on cars with detachable versus electric versus no tow bar at all differ in appearance? If so what is different on the different types?
I've seen some Discoverys that seem to have a VERY visible spare wheel when I'm following on the motorway and others where I can't see it at all - am I imagining this?

Certainly a difference between no towbar and a electric deployable. It has a small bulge with the electric.

I don't suppose you are able to post a picture to show how the rear bumper is with the deployable bar as that's what I've ordered......only for piece of mind - nothing I can do about it now Surprised

Why don’t you Google search “Discovery 5 electrically deployable towbar” I did and tons of images come up along with loads of YouTube videos.

Hey, if you don’t like, I am sure you can cancel the order. Thumbs Up

Might have something to do with the width of the spare wheel. The 285 tyres on the 22" wheels will hang 30mm lower than the 255 tyres on the 20" wheels.

Ha yes I think thats probably it - They were different enough that I had wondered if trim was missing from some that I've followed although that is from a pretty low seating position in a 2 Series BMW!!

not sure thats the case. I have 285/40x22's with electric deployable towbar and the same lower bumper style as above and you cant see my spare when looking from behind

My pictures are taken in access height, when in normal and offroad the spare does become more noticeable. I think Rolling Eyes
