2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Santorini Black

    Anybody lowered their D5?

I have just bought a MY17 D5 HSE TD6 which is black with the black pack and upgraded 22" wheels.

In the past I have owned the Disco4 and a few RRS and I have lowered each one. Thinking of doing the same with the D5, anybody got experience of this or any advice?

    Thanks

    Stick it in access height.

The 22's fill the arches nicely, giving it an aggressive, slammed stance.

At least that way you wont suffer from a spine shattering ride, and save a few quid in the process.

Not to mention possible warranty issues Laughing Thumbs Up

I buy the car for its height - in an ideal world, I'd like it on Raised Suspension all the time... (but that's just me).

Out of interest, if you don't mind me asking, why would you want a lowered D5???

I can't imagine why anyone would want to do it. Why do you want to? Is it just for looks?

Just lock the car in access height and don't drive faster than 21 mph. which shouldn't be that hard in London traffic.

Yep OK point taken, I guess I just got too excited...I sold a tuned and customised GLS63 to get a more sensible family 7 seater so got ahead of myself. Thanks for the replies!

In all seriousness, do what makes you happy and helps you enjoy the vehicle most. Just not sure lowering a D5 with air is even really possible without a lot of effort and expense. Most people want to lift them to fit bigger tires....

It is possible to lower LR air sprung vehicles, though why one would is beyond me. Google Johnson rods.
