    1 :- Its parked in Portbury Docks awaiting the 'call down' from the dealer.
    2 :- Its parked in Portbury Docks as my dealer has called it and its awaiting transport.
    3 :- It was the first car parked in the docks so now we have to wait for the other vehicles to leave to get access to my car, ie first in last out.
    4 :- Land Rover dont give a Censored and cant be bothered to communicate with its customers.

    Not impressed with the lack of communication from Land Rover. I have a few orders to place for vehicles in the next few months. I wont be pushing my staff in the direction of Land Rover go and Censored yourself.

    Remarkably similar experience to mine, when my D4 was bought new in 2013.

    Scrap heap challenge

    Am in similar situation.
    No communication whatsoever.
    Still no car.
    March 1st long gone
    Was promised for then as ordered over 1 year ago.
    Still in the compound so can't give me a date.
    Been in the compound for over 5 weeks.
    How long does it take too check a car?
    LR not telling the garage what hold up is.
    Could have built a new one in that time!!
    Been on high priority since 5 weeks plus and has been escalated too highest emergency priority 2 weeks.
    Still no updates.
    Really bitter, angry, annoyed. Censored Censored
    Lost all interest in the car. I hope it bursts into flames and burns the factory down I am so angry. All the false promises. Harsh but true. Never felt so let down in a my life.
    Am doing all the calling around going around in circles.
    Stopped calling and emailing as so fed up.
    Garage not even answering my emails when I ask for an update.
    April 1 st is around the corner - loose out a further £660 in road tax.
    FIRST EDITION MY ASS.
    LAST EDITION MORE LIKE.
    Lesser models are already with there owners.
    One first edition owner ordered one and received within 2 weeks no deposit nothing. Just walked into the show room a few weeks ago.
    25 years of loyalty/ 8 LR later and I get treated like absolute S##T.
    Seems like this is my last one now
    Better of sticking too Subaru or BMW or Audi.
    Buy British and support our industry, so the saying goes, well no wonder the Japanese and German manufacturers are doing a roaring trade. Far better customer services. At least they have the decency too email and pick the phone up.
    LR could not catch a cold let alone run a bath or throw a party in a pub. Useless.
    Get better customers services at Asda than this shower of amateurs.

    Feeling Thoroughly Let Down!

    I'm beginning to feel much like yourself !!

    My own car has been with the dealer for over 2 weeks now, 12 days ago I got a video from them of the car up on the ramps telling me that it was being prepared, it had the dealer fit options fitted (side protection etc). Okay, they had side steps to fit and a bit of paintwork to do, but since then, almost no communication from them and so I've given up chasing !!

    TBH, like yourself I've almost completely lost interest in the car, and I certainly wont be using this dealer again, the whole experience of buying from LR has been soured. There seems to me to be a complacency now, whether its as a result of the dealership having been taken over, or whether its down to LR feeling they just don't have to try I don't know, but, it was apparent when it came to sitting down and trying to get a deal from them that they felt they had our business in the bag and there was no scope whatsoever for movement (other than getting a £137 boot mat thrown in as a sweetener).

    Anyhow, when it comes to replacing the D5 and my wife's RR we are agreed that after 16yrs ownership its time to start looking at alternatives to LR, so hopefully other manufacturers will raise their game in the interim.
