    interior windscreen trim

I had a new windscreen fitted last week while the D5 was in for its second service. (47000km, no early service warnings....yet). Only noticed on the way back home so trim has not been put back correctly. The dealer has said just pop in anytime and it will take them about three minutes to fix. I have looked at the trim and cannot see a quick fix. Am I missing something?

The dealer is a good two hour round trip so if I can sort this myself I would prefer to do so.

It should just pop back. If not straight on, how about 90 degrees the other way? If not, ask the dealer?

I haven’t pulled that bit of trim off. I’ve pulled other bits and it’s non complicated. Normally plastic pegs that go in receivers.

In theory, to deactivate the airbag, you’d need to disconnect the battery and wait for 15 mins, well it was that way for the D4, just to be on the safe side.

I used to abide by that for playing with the steering wheel controls and then latterly I didn’t bother so much, but the potential is there for accidental activation, although I’ve never heard of it.
