    Instructions rear bumper removal

    Hi all

Has anyone got instructions for removal of rear bumper? Or a link to them?

Going to attempt fitting removable towbar to my new D5, have the fitting instructions for actual bar, but not for bumper.

    Thanks in advance

Get a quick subscription to ToPix. It’s only a few quid depending how long you use it for.

    TOPIx

Well I paid for an hours subscription for a single model and year - £17!!!

Downloaded the instructions for rear bumper removal and rear armature removal. Let me know via PM if you want some advice.

So fitted the towbar yesterday. Not too bad. Hardest part was releasing/replacing the exhaust hanging rubbers whilst flat on my back under the car.

    Couple of hints/tips:
    1) not necessary to remove rear wheels. You can do it with a stubby screwdriver on full height.

    2) I didn’t do the last step of removing the plastic framework from the rear 3/4 each side. You can work round it and still get the armature off and new towbar fitted.

    3) you need a little helper to pass you tools!!

All in all a satisfying job that saved me about £409 in labour.

I sourced a towbar for £350, so quite a saving.
