Nice one, sounds lovely! Also seems strange that they were still building MY19s in July, but that's Solihull I guess, very interesting.

Now I have to go and find that original post to read Laughing

Oh the JLR smoke and mirrors.
!st July 2109 built in the UK, i said to the sales person at Land Rover they're built in Slovakia now.......Not yours its a UK built car at Solihul . So i am very confused Rolling Eyes

Its a good horror story if you're reading it, not so good if you're living and breathing it, get some popcorn you maybe a while Laughing

I read it! Good to see you back with the Disco after all of that!

Reading what you said on the Q7 - that's much how I saw it as a buyer. I didn't drive the Q7 as it left me cold in the showroom, but did test the Cayenne (briefly) and X5 (extensively).

Both the RRS and Disco charmed me, for want of a better word. There is a sense of character that is missing from the Germans, and that's before the problems emerge! The Q7 felt even more clinical than the Porsche/BMW, but all of them lacked a certain something that the LRs have.

    Hope all goes well.
I've used Marshalls ( formerly TMS )of Melton Mowbray for the last 25 yrs.
    Always been happy with them.
Disco had a few minor issues but thought all was going to smoothly.
Unfortunately had to have the balance shafts replaced. When the Disco came back seemed okay, bit revy, but 2 days later dumped engine oil on my drive.
Back it went for a week, someone hadn't fitted a seal correctly which failed and dumped the oil.
Engine now seems to over rev in 1st and 2ng gear and MPG has dropped.
Don't know what they've done but it ain't good.
Loved my Discos but this one is making me think twice.
