Where to buy cheapest Duratrac 20s? - Now Sorted!
I've just bought myself a set of 20" rims to replace my 21s for the winter. I have previously ran Duratracs on my D4 so am keen to get another set for the D5, cheapest i'm finding them is about £170 a tyre, is this competitive? if anyone else knows of anywhere cheaper could you let me know please? Many Thanks

Sorry, can't help on where to get them as I don't live in the UK, but I would be interested to know if the have the snowflake symbol on this size, as mine (admittedly bought in 2017) don't have it, but on the goodyear site they say it does.

Cheers for the heads up, £100 of shopping vouchers should take the sting out of it

All sorted, black circles are doing 15% off Goodyear tyres today for Cyber Monday, worked out at £160 per tyre delivered, which is the cheapest i've found.
They also have up to 20% of other brands today.

What size did you get, and do they have the 3 peaks snowflake symbol?

255/55 R20
don't know about the 3PMS, will let you know on Weds when they come!
My previous 19" set on my D4 had the 3PMS, I was really please with the performance in all conditions tbh, especially snow and wet!

Tyres have arrived, they look awesome, just need some snowy weather now! Theres no 3pms though! I'm not overly bothered, they're the same tread pattern as my old 19" ones so i'm sure they will be good.

Thanks for that info... I just don't understand why they advertise them as having the snowflake three peaks symbol on the Good Year site then!!
Basically means I won't be getting them again when mine are worn out as they would no longer be legal during winter in Germany

One thing I have noticed with the Duratracs is a significant decrease in MPG, on a particular regular 100 mile run I used to average 43MPG, now with the Duratracs only getting 35 MPG

Cradgebank, maybe it’s not only the tyres, in colder weather the engine consumes more anyway and I suppose you use the heater more often too?
And are you comparing them to the Pirelli Verdes or ? just out of curiosity

I would have thought the A/C would be more of a load in warmer weather than the heater in cold weather.
Yes, the original tyres where Pirelli Verdes.

My experience is that heating consumes twice the power as for cooling.
Still a while to summer to do the real world check for your Duratracs!

Fuel economy is always worse in winter (especially for diesels) and surely your AC is technically on all the time as it's CC not AC
