Disco Refresh
Popped into a LR dealership to start looking at changing my car today - interested in a PHEV. Speaking to the dealerships EV specialist whose recently back fromLR, it’s likely that the Disco refresh will be the 21 Model Year, probably announced at Geneva or slightly later, changes will be limited, but likely new front, light clusters, apparently potential to centralise rear number plate. Infotainment update, inclusion of MHEV engines, but also addition of the P400e from the RR / RRS. Also, new Range Rover is likely to be the first with the new 3 litre diesel Ingenium, probably allied to 100bhp EV with 2 motors, which might then go into the Disco at a later stage. Am going to hang on for the refresh before I change mine, and then the engine warning light comes on as I leave the dealership.......

Thanks for the info. Sounds about right, although slightly surprising that a dealer has this much info and is talking about it?
I was expecting this, but it’s Sod’s law that I struck a deal for a replacement D5 on Saturday:D

It’s a rejection so the deal is done
Rejecting my current one and ordering a replacement.
Whilst it will be annoying to have the old model, I know the deals will be a lot worse on the facelift, so I’m happy to have the MY20. Plus I expected this right from the start of last year when I ordered my first one. Always the same if ordering a car three years after launch.
The real danger was buying a X7, I had a very tough decision to make the last couple of days!

I've heard similar rumblings in the US too, mostly though in regards to tech upgrades and engine changes as opposed to body styling.

The Hybrid is awful, will get you up the street and then you are back on petrol..its a PR trick, charge it all night for 3 miles distance..JLR and technology dont mix

Harry's Garage gave the P400e RRS a thumbs up, certainly made me think about one for a while (before the government yet again shifted the goalposts of what is low emissions)

I no longer need all the functionality of the D5 and have ordered a hybrid, but not a JLR product.
Also I wanted a proper engine as well, not a tiddly 4 pot!
This is what Harry had to say &t=850s
