20MY ordered
Finally letting go our 2011 disco 4. 20MY 5 HSE coming in March in black with black pack and black 20"alloys. Went a bit mad on options, managed to make myself feel better by removing the HUD but even so:
Santorini black
Black pack
Black alloys
Black headlining
Privacy glass
Adaptive cruise with steer assist
Activity key
Adaptive dynamics
Deployable towbar
Tracker
360deg camera
7 seat climate pack
Intelligent seat fold
Adaptive headlights
Ordered just after Xmas. Build slot in march, waiting for delivery date but expected late March, hopefully in time before we go skiing!
Got side steps, mats (why no 3rd row -anyone found some???) and cross bars on order.
New D5 HSE 3l SD6 MY20. Black and all the black options!
Old: (sold) D4 MY11 3.0l SDV6 (black obviously)

Sounds great and you’ve done the right thing with Adaptive Dynamics and 360 camera (I’m shocked how poor the standard reversing camera is on the two loaners I’ve spent the last month in). Cruise/steer assist is brilliant too.
I agree with Labbix on HUD, it’s a really useful option and I wouldn’t be without one.
Best option by far is the first one you picked - SDV6!

so, did anyone else notice that for MY20, the black contrasting roof is no longer an option? at least that's what I'm seeing here in the US.

OK, I stand corrected, it's totally dependent on the body colo(u)r that's selected. Never noticed that before. I could have sworn Eiger Grey use to offer the contrast roof as an option, but don't see it now.
Edit: and actually if I add the contrast roof first with a different base color and then go back and change it to Eiger, it works. maybe just a web builder glitch.

I know mine is the more basic 2017 HUD, would i pay £1k for it? No. I would pay £1k for the timed climate and fuel burning heater tho. Love my car "central heating "

Arrived today. Got home and fitted side steps, mats and cross rails in matching black, black and more black with the black interior and headlining. 😁
LR apparently giving 500MB/month SIM free. Very helpful dealer have us a free umbrella too.
Slightly struggling with the knack to double-lock the doors with the keyless entry. Any tips?
Seems to be a lot less storage on D5 Vs D4. Where do people keep everything like fire extinguisher, first aid kits, jump leads, straps and bungees?

Double lock is two distinct presses on the indentation on the door handles or on the remote. Must be 3 seconds or less apart. It beeps a confirmation after the successful second press.

Thanks! Handles were wet last night and really struggled to get it to recognise my touch. Seems better this morning.

The main thing I have found is angle - a direct press with my finger or thumb at 90 degrees to the handle works best, and if at the back doors it’s better to stand alongside them, not reach from the rear of the car. Presumably the latter is due to proximity sensing of the key.
Mine is really consistent now I have got the hang of it. One of the loaners I had seemed not so good.

I think I've worked out why it was temperamental. You have to ensure you only touch the outside of the handle. I was putting my hand around the handle.
Where is everyone storing straps, bungees, first aid kit, jump leads? There's a lot less storage space for bulky items.

I took out the foam behind third row and use that. Compressor is behind second row and between head rests of third row, but indeed, less space than with D4, and boot less practical...
