Removable Towbar Problem
Hi
Went to fit my detachable towbar this morning and it wouldn't lock into place. It was as if the towbar wouldn't go far enough into the receiver to engage the locking pin. It looked ok from the side, and the triangular locator seemed fully home, but a gentle tap with a hammer nudged it about 1mm further in and the locking pin engaged. I had been faffing around about 20 mins before taking the hammer to it.....
I don't use it that much (the tow bar or the car at the moment....) and it has had the plastic protector in the socket when the towbar not in.
Anyone else suffered this? Any advice?

slight thread-jack (apologies) but what's involved in attaching/detaching the detachable towbar?
Is it a simple 5 min job?

Yes, not even 2 mins. Shove swan neck into receiver and deploy electrics. Should be easy.....
