First trip off-road - central coast NSW Aus
So this was a few weeks ago.
Sunday 29th March, invited by two friends one with a land cruiser 200 and the other with a Pajero.
We headed off with our socially isolated kids for a drive through the Olney state forest and Watagan mountains North of Sydney. It had been wet so it was a bit muddy and slippery in parts.
We thought it might be our last chance to get out for a drive. And yes it was that night our prime minister locked down the country.
This was to be my first trip off road since the LRE course in the blue mountains at Lithgow.
My mate captured a couple of videos of some water crossings and travelling up a moderately steep slippery trails. I’ve uploaded them to YouTube for your viewing pleasure

My tyres are stock Goodyear eagle F1 20”.
They handled it pretty well, only one significant arse puckering moment on a rutted 90 degree right hand turn and I didn’t have a good line. Thought the backend was going to overtake the front and head off to the left in the bush.

Absolutely.
I’ll be keen to miss the more overgrown trails next time.
Got some pin stripping I’m yet to polish out.

Your trip brings back memories and my D4 came back with loads of bush pinstripes as well. Lots of overgrown tracks there, I haven't been there back since. Mud is still the same colour.
