    Wireless Phone Charger

    Hello All,

    I just thought I would bring this one to your attention.

    It just arrived today, and after quite a lot of fuss, I have manage to install it.

    It actually works very nicely.

    I have a very slight fitting issue, but I am going to take the console apart again to sort that out.

    In short... a nice product, and a good idea. MUCH better than the LR wireless charger!![/code]

    Nice find - presume the phone still needs to be plugged in to access CarPlay?

    Yes... carplay in the D5 is only wired.

    But personally I don't like AA or ACP, so the wireless charging is perfect for me.

    That’s neat, thanks for sharing. Any pics of it installed?

    I do use CarPlay 100% of the time so it’s not quite for me, but might be useful for passengers or my work phone - if I ever return to commuting.

    I'd looked at those (or similar) a while ago but I was unable to find any that would fit RHD cars. All the ones I could find were LHD only.
    MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
    MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price!

    True... mine is LHD. Not sure if they do a RHD version.

    Tested it today, and works really well.

    For those with a LHD model, here is a photo of it installed. I am going to reseat it as there is a very slight gap at the right hand side (just below the 12V socket), but otherwise it all fits really nicely!!

    Won’t fit the r/h drive as the cigarette lighter is on the opposite side from memory?

    Or am I wrong?

    Looks great tho, I’d have one if it fits!

    I already contacted the seller, and they are only for LHD.

    I have not seen any for RHD.
