Custom Dog Crate
Hi all
Any advice on a good quality custom for dog crate/transit box.
Have seen TransK9 but have no stock for the D5

Have you tried some of the smaller ones? I still have one for my TD5 Discovery, which then went in my D3, and whilst I've not tried, the measurements suggest it will fit in my D5.

Try Lintran, near Lincoln.
They will make whatever size you want if asked.
They made one for my brothers D5 which works well.

I looked on Lintran site and to be honest the quality and construction of their crates comes nowhere near that of K9 and the small difference in price doesn't reflect that.

I’ve not seen TransK9 so can’t really comment but I do know my dog loves my Lintran box.
Best thing for me is that it is so light to lift in or out, and dog stays cool during the warmer months.
For me it helps that they are nearby (do delivery cost) and they hold their value.

I've had transk9 in the past discoveries but with large breeds and the d5 the boxes seemed to compromise space too much so went with the load barrier (half height) + cargo divider + hatch bag so far working very well.
