Looks absolutely stunning mate. I love the dynamic pack really mean looking bumper. Just a pity the First Editions never came with that option as it would have really finished it of. Mind you beggars can't be choosers I suppose lol 😁

Ha ha your so excited you can't think straight and are having a mental block lol. It's the TDV6 Rolling with laughter

On a more serious note though you said it goes like Censored. Even though engines are bench tested nowadays, I have been told that it's still better too err on the side of caution and take it easy for the components too bed in properly before putting the foot down after 1000 miles. (Keeping the revs low and not thrashing it) which apparently will pay dividends and prolong the longevity of the engine, the first 1000 miles being paramount / critical too the engines life. Any thoughts guys ???? Rolling Eyes

As a Mechanical Engineer, I would always 'run in' any engine before subjecting it to any heavy load especially towing, but there are other people with the exact opposite view who swear by hammering a diesel engine right from the word go Shocked

Personally, I will stick to what I know Thumbs Up

Well I was told this by my Subaru dealer initially. Best too let them run in for the first 1000 miles. Hence only after 1000 miles would they remap the car as the components had not bedded in properly. Not too mention the engines are highly strung in the first instance, plus had too service the engine after the first 1000 miles before doing all the remapping bits n pieces. LR dealers also have told me about the first 1000 miles being critical/crucial, plus being such a heavy 4x4 all that excessive inital strain won't do the engine any favours. Mind you collegues at work with other brands have been told otherwise. At the end of the day the salemans not bothered as it's not their car. Also new tyres and new brakes won't be as effective or efficient as ones which have been run in as both still have "POLISHED SURFACE AREAS" so too speak. Fingers crossed no engine issues ever with any of my cars, plus common sense prevails, better safe than sorry. I think i will take on board the comments from our expert Mechanical Engineer friend. Thumbs Up Cheers
Ps why run when you can't walk but others may beg to differ
