    Boot won’t open

Using any of the remote/dashboard/gesture options, the boot unlatches, beeps and stays in the closed position. Will only open using the exterior release button.

I assume it thinks something is in the way. Everywhere it’s been parked for the last week.

Does anyone know where the sensor for the boot sensing an obstruction lives? I have cleaned the bumper sensors to no avail.

does it beep when you try?

mine kept doing it and also when closing on occasion It would try and then open again as if there was an obstruction. After a few months it became apparent the tailgate wasn't aligned and was scuffing on the lower trim slightly. The body shop realigned the tailgate and replaced trim. I think it worked manually when opening because I was pulling on it slightly.

I've circled where it was scuffing you can see its worn through the top of the plastic.

Thanks, it does beep (I meant to mention that in my post). And I’ve just checked, only 1200 miles in and it has the scuffing!

    Appreciate the response, cheers.
