I'm about to pull the trigger on some Baja Designs S2 Sport combo driving / spot fog lamps, which I plan to install in the gap just under the main front bumper.
I'm considering wiring them to the main fog lamp switch that activates via the barrel switch on the stalk. Mine came with the weak LED fog lamps.
Does anyone have suggestions, or a wiring diagram for this circuit? I expect I'll need to replace some or all of the harness and add a fuse so as not to overload that circuit.
Otherwise I'll probably wire separately as others have done, but wanted to see if I could make the existing switch work....
PM sent with a link to just the wiring diagram for external lights. User dgardel has a full Workshop manual plus wiring diagram posted somewhere on this forum. But it is in Italian.
Yeah, after looking at the drawings and how to get to the harness for the existing fog lights, and then noticing that when I activate high beams the fogs go off, which I don't want, I ordered a SpeedTech 6-port wireless remote switch box. Going in next week...
The box is tiny - a little smaller but a little thicker than a deck of cards. Found a couple easy places to mount it in the engine bay. I'll be doing the wiring maybe next weekend.
I have the lights mounted in the gap under the front bumper with a temporary solution - a license plate mount. I wanted them low and low profile so we'll see how they work there.
Following DieselRangers lead I installed a pair of Baja lights.
I need additional lighting while driving narrow winding county roads in order to stay out of ditches.
Tapped into the jumping posts under the bonnet.
To avoid warranty issues using a wireless remote.
