Front pads and discs
Anyone had new pads and discs recently?
Just had 2nd service done on my 2019, due on time rather than mileage at 26,500 (didn't do as many miles as usual in last 12 months).
Main dealer quoted £973 all inclusive for front pads and discs!!
So I have told them not to worry about them but motor factor cannot get hold of discs and local (very good) tyre place can only get hold of genuine at £700 all inclusive.
Seems crazy money, I need to get the vehicle back to check it really does need the discs doing but it doesn't look like there are many options available at the moment.

Yes, saw that thread but that was rear discs/pads, which are ok on mine.

Hc76.. I've just retried that part number takes you to wrong items.But check Deemon Tweeks anyway.

Why do you need new discs and pads at that mileage??
I am on 32K and still have 6mm plus on front pads and discs are in great condition and a lot of my journeys are towing a TA caravan,
Have you checked them yourself to make sure the dealer isn't pulling your pants down

I have tried just these people. They despatched very fast with parcel force, but parcel force ‘couldn’t find my house’. When I challenged parcel force they were happy to refund postage as it was their error.. However when I spoke to AF they weren’t so keen to lodge the claim on my behalf (they bought the service) and they guy on the other end of the email was shocking. Apparently all my fault for not reading on their site they don’t guarantee delivery. They also claimed that it was an ‘act of god’ that the van drove past my house without delivering!
So in my view, avoid. If you have a problem I don’t think they have the right approach to manage a customer relationship.

I’d ask for a quote from an independent LR specialist. From memory, they would be about half that price.
